“I do have a logical understanding of it, but it still doesn’t really change anything.”
At some point or other, I hear this from almost all my clients. They have a logical understanding of something, but they still don’t feel right about it.
Understanding something logically and really feeling it tends to be two different things for many. Because while it’s easy for our logical brain to accept something if it makes sense, that doesn’t mean that our subconscious mind will accept it quite as easily.
An example of this is rejection. While it’s easy to explain to someone why, logically, rejection shouldn’t bother us – in the real world the fear (and pain) is still very much there.
So why does this happen? And how do we fix it?
This is a topic that I’ve gotten to do a lot of work on over the 11+ years I’ve been a coach. And it’s one of the topics I explain in my new course “The Secrets of Confidence and Communication”. And I’ve now uploaded that particular chapter to YouTube so that you can watch it for free right here:
Update: I’ve now added several new courses – check them out here.
